280 athletes from various regions are participating in the national boxing competition held at the Darkhan-Uul Aimag Sports Palace, which has a 60-year history in boxing. The event is organized by the Aimag Sports Committee, the Mongolian Boxing Association, and the National Sports Council, along with the cooperation of renowned boxing coach Khaidavyn Altankhuyag.
During the national boxing competition, which runs from March 31 to April 6, athletes will compete in 30 weight categories, demonstrating their speed, strength, agility, and boxing skills.
The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by distinguished guests including the President of the Mongolian Boxing Federation, Mr. H. Altankhuyag, the Director of the Aimag Sports Committee, Mr. O. Khurelchuluun, the Director of the Aimag Education and Sports Department, Mr. A. Amaraa, and the Head of the Darkhan-Uul Aimag Boxing Association, Mr. N. Munkhdash, who awarded medals to the participants.
The national boxing competition, which has been a part of Mongolia’s sports history for 76 years, is being held in Darkhan-Uul Aimag for the second time, marking an important milestone in the region’s sporting legacy.
