From the names of all residents of Darkhan-Uul aimag, we invite you to join us in celebrating our city of Nairamdal, Darkhan, with open arms.

Darkhan-Uul aimag is located in the northern part of Mongolia, situated around the sacred Burkhan Khaldun mountain range and the Orkhon River basin.

Established back in 1961, the city of Darkhan has since grown to a population of 102,171, with 67.5% of its inhabitants residing in urban areas, situated along the intersecting highways and railways of various nations, connected to the central power grid, boasting high-rise structures and significant industrial centers.

The people of Darkhan have achieved great success, symbolized by the “Red Banner of Labor” medal awarded to Darkhan City for 50 years of development since its inception.

The contribution of Darkhan-Uul aimag to Mongolia’s hero of labor, with 19 Labor Heroes, 89 State Prize Laureates, and 266 State Merit holders, reflects our commitment to national prosperity.

As a city known internationally for cooperation and cultural exchange, Darkhan continues to grow and develop through collaborative efforts in economic and diplomatic relations worldwide.
